| On a hardness scale of one (Soapstone) to ten (Diamond),Serpentine ranges between two and three-and-a-half. Among the hardest Serpentines is Springstone,Fruit Serpentine,and Lemon Opalstone. (Non-Lemon) Opalstone is among the softer varieties. In most cases,the Sculpures are finished with a coat of clear floor wax,sometimes certain areas of a piece will be left unwaxed in order to achieve greater color contrast. |
